about the author

Steve is a father of four and has worked with young children for nearly 20 years, firstly as a primary school teacher and for the last eight years as a forest school leader. He provides rich and varied activities in diverse woodlands through games, stories, crafts and bushcraft skills with a linkage to our ancestors of this land, nurturing a deep nature connection within all of the children so that they come to respect and love nature how their ancestors did before them. His stories, which combine strong rhythmic and rhyming patterns with humour, pull the readers gently into the wonderful and beautiful natural world.
